| DC DUers, Alaskans need help |
|
Do any of you know where Don Young (R. Alaska) lives down there? I've heard that he has a very fabulous mansion that he calls home when he's not here living in his overgrown trailer in Fort Yukon. I was volunteering at the Benson for Congress campaign office this morning, and we all thought it would be kind of amusing to use side-by-side photos of his home in DC and his home in Fort Yukon to emphasize the fact that Congressional perks, i.e., Abramoff ties, etc., have been very, very good to Mr. Young. If any of you could provide us a photo, we would be most appreciative.

| 1. Does your campaign have a research director or research consultant? |

If so, that person should know the address for Don Young's DC home.
If you get an address, it shouldn't be too difficult for someone to go out and get a picture. (BTW: Don't post the address on the public board. Just post to let us know if you have it. If someone posts here to volunteer to get the picture, then you can give them the address privately.)

Our campaign manager knows a lot about Mr. Young. I'll see if he's got the address. Also, I think there's another Alaska DUer who may know where it's at. I'll get back to you.

| 3. Remember that this is the same thing |
|
that John Thune did to Tom Daschle in 04- it's kinda slimy, you know that, right? still, it's not difficult to find out where a senator or rep lives in DC

| 5. and if you can show that Don Young took money illegally |
|
then I'm all for it. or unethically. Daschle's piece was based on his wife's job.
remember, and you know this, what stuff costs in DC, 800 grand will buy you a mediocre townhouse. what will that buy you in Alaska?

| 6. The money doesn't have to be gained illegally or unethically. |
|
The point is to paint the candidate as being out-of-touch from his constituents. It doesn't matter if the money was gained illegally or unethically. If he cannot relate to the day-to-day challenges facing average Americans, that is a legitimate reason for people to not vote for him. This is exactly what conservatives have been doing to liberals for decades: painting us as out-of-touch.
