Friday Night Pre-Protest Party at Capital Lounge in DC, Sept 23rd

In order for those under 21 to join us we'll start the party at 7pm so they have at least 2 hours of hang time with the DUers. This is a party for all DUers who are either from DC or are coming to DC for the big Saturday protest on Sept 24th.

Who: All members of DU, Friends of DUers and anyone who leans to the left
What: Pre-Protest Friday night Party
Where: Capital Lounge, 231 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington, DC 20003
When: September 23rd from 7pm-10pm(approximate ending)
Why: Because we're democrats and we're getting psyched for the biggest protest to hit DC this year!!

Capital Lounge is located in the SE quadrant of Washington DC and is just a block away from the Capital Hill South Metro exit. Parking may be sucking so your best bet is to take the train in for the party

According to the both the WashPost & AOl Guides about Capital Lounge, there is an area in the bar that is filled with Democratic Memorabilia - we will probably start there and then possibly move downstairs to the Cigar Lounge/Martini Bar and shoot some pool (we'll stay upstairs for about an hour).

Just as an FYI - if you get there before 7pm, there is a "Make Your Own Bloody Mary" happy hour from 4-7. They give you a glass with the vodka in it and then you go to the Bloody Mary bar and mix in your own ingredients.

better than having one after the march. I know a lot of you guys will do both, but I'll probably be tired and go home after the march. This one I would like to attend.

Great place, but not very big for this sort of thing. I think we'll have to take over the whole strip. Tune Inn to the South.
