I'm coming in to town for a convention at the end of this month. I'll have a lot of bags with me when I get off the plane and head to the hotel. I'd rather not have some chubby cop ruffling through my things. Maybe I'll just avoid the Metro all together.

And if you're flying into National Airport (we locals don't acknowledge the Reagan part), metro is definitely the way to go. It will take you within blocks of where the convention will be, and probably take you near your hotel.

They have armed security men but no bag searches. The metro is great so don't avoid it, enjoy it!
