I saw Obama in Mattoon, IL--- HUGE crowd!

He spoke at Lake Land College, and our official count was 571 people ion attendance--- a HUGE turnout for tyhis Republican-dominated area! I smell a landslide, y'all!

3. When was the last time Mattoon

had a crowd of over 500 people for ANYTHING? Much less a black US Senate candidate from Chicago. It isn't a big town. Amazing.

I'm amazed at the number of calls from Republicans who are calling and asking for Kerry/Obama/Gill literature. Paddy has actually teased a few (nicely) by saying that not only would he be happy to bring them some, but he'd even bring it to the back door, in case they're worried that the neighbors might see him delivering it. :P

I grew up in Charleston. Might be going down there in a week or so to pick up my nieces in Mattoon and bring them up here for a visit before school starts...can I pick up a Kerry/Obama sticker somewhere down there? I'd LOVE to stick that in the back window of my car for my dad to see as I'm driving away. LOL!!!

Keep up the great work! I KNOW what a big job you have on your hands in that neck of the woods. I lived it for about 25 years. Ugh!
