Anyone one in Kane county?

We moved here a couple of months ago from downtown Chicago. I'm a stay at home mom and have a met a few, but they, how shall I say it, wear their faith on their sleeves? I don't dislike these folks, just don't feel I can really connect with them. They're are (the moms I've met) likely to be * supporters too, and that's something REALLY hard to swallow. Would love to meet some other parents here with more progressive thinking.

3. i was raised in aurora

and went to waubonsee. don't know that many people out that way any more. i do know that there is a fox valley citizen for peace & justice. i have had a little contact with them. i think they are more based in st charles.
as far as finding liberal moms. lots of luck. i spent 15 years as a full time mom, in chicago, and still found it hard.

Although I do admit that my AP US History teacher was probably one of 3 Dems employed within the school district.
