| Illinois - Please call Judy Biggert about DeLay |
|
(202) 225-3515
House Ethics Committee is FINALLY meeting tomorrow (Thurs) about the complaint filed against House Majority Leader Tom DeLay.
Please call Judy Biggert's office to demand a full investigation into the charges. Tell her that the integrity of Congress is at stake. The fact that she has TAKEN MONEY from DeLay's PAC must not stop her from supporting an investigation into these serious charges.
The Complaint:
Count 1 - DeLay solicited a bribe from Westar in exchange for legislation favorable to the energy company Count 2 - DeLay's PAC laundered $190K in corporate contributions thru the RNC then illegally distributed it to TX candidates and Count 3 - DeLay illegally used Federal resources to track down the TX dems who fled the state in an attempt to thwart quorum for DeLay's redistricting plan

But i am far more reassured by a single Texas county district atty, who has already incicted 8 corporations and 3 individuals - with more to come.
Delay and his friends never thought they would be called on this since the Repugs had control of the state.
Delay's time is coming, they would have gotten away with buying the legislature's redistricting but for a little respected 1905 Texas state campaign law. Colyandro is looking at 99 years. Speaker of the House Craddick has to be looking over his shoulder too.
Yes by all means ask the House to do its job. I just hope Congress has the political will to do it. I know we have a sure fire way to stop him now.
