Seems as though it's not a good morning here at DU, what with the news of Mrs. Grumpy, but Paddy was also admitted to the hospital about 2:30 this morning; he was in severe pain from his cervical disc, and it was not responding to the pain meds he had at home, so the neurosurgeon told him he needed to be admitted to the hospital. It seems likely at this point that he will be having surgery sooner rather than later, most likely some time this week. If you want to send him some good wishes/vibes, PM him and I will print them out for him to read when I go back to the hospital later.

I'll be thinking about you both (I'm sure this has to be stressful for you, too, Tony.) I'm sending good vibes in expectation of his speedy recovery. Back pain is a bitch.

On the positive side, he's gonna need a lot of nice back rubs when he's feeling better... :)
