This is unthinkable, yet it is happening and will most likely happen here if nothing is done. I am active in my union and contacting legislators, but what else can be done? Things have already started to happen, which makes me fearful for the future of education in Indiana.

I teach in a growing district, yet we will be RIFing teachers at the end of the year because of our govenor's budget cuts. He is going after the teacher's unions when he is finished with state workers. It is going to be a bloody mess! :(
