2. Wallace's first question was re: Pelosi's statement...
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

U.S. REP. NANCY PELOSI, D-CALIF., MINORITY LEADER: This is yet again another manifestation of the arrogance of power of the White House. They don't come clean with the American people, or they think they're above the law and above accountability to the American people.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

WALLACE: Senator Bayh, above the law, arrogance of power — isn't that the kind of talk that makes Democrats look silly?

BAYH: Well, Chris, this was mostly a personal tragedy. This man got shot, was in the hospital, had a heart attack. I think more than anything, it goes to show how out of touch Washington is with the rest of the country.

We've got deep problems in this country — economic, national security, financial — and I think most folks understand this for what it was, a hunting accident. Now we ought to get on with the business of addressing the major problems that face the country.

WALLACE: So you think that the House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi is out of touch?

BAYH: Well, I would have a respectful difference of opinion on the magnitude of this issue. And to get to your question, look, should the information have been disclosed quicker? Yes, no question about it. Should they be more forthcoming? Yes.

But I think we need to pivot, then, and address the major issues, not make a mountain out of a molehill. When we do that, I think we run the risk of damaging our own credibility with mainstream America.

Uhhh.... wasn't that the RNC talking point? He did a better job for them than Mary Matalin.

Pelosi said that "they think they're above the law." Couldn't Bayh AT LEAST have pointed out that an average citizen involved in a hunting accident would not have been able to put off talking to investigating authorities until the next day??!!??

4. I agree...
wish he would address the ridiculous prayer issue taking place right now. Bosma and the rest need to deal with real issues...a moment of silence should work for everyone, but the xtians have this "it's all about me" attitude.

7. Man, you got that right.
We had an immigration problem in the family. Some immigration workers were refusing to follow their own policies and were enjoying playing God with people's lives. Someone suggested that I send emails to both of our Senators. Despite several attempts to contact Evan Bayh's office (email and phone messages), No one from his office even acknowledged our request for help. Not even a Sorry we can't help you message.

I hate to admit this but, we were desperate. I contacted Lugar's office via email. Later that day, I had a response. It said, "I'm _______. I'm a caseworker for Sen. Lugar. Here's my phone number. Contact me a 9:00 a.m. tomorrow morning." I did and this person started helping us right away. She never once asked us about political affiliations. She only asked us where we lived to confirm if we were Inidiana residents. Lugar's office lit fires under their tails so-to-speak and took care of our problem with immigration asses.

The kick in the head here is that I have voted for Evan Bayh every time that He has been on the ballot for Gov. and Senator. I have never voted for Lugar. It seems that Bayh is too busy to be bothered by his lowly constituents.
