| Buyer attacked in primary ads by a religious right candidate |
|
Was commuting home - and listening to a local radio station/call in show. In five minutes or so I heard two ads by an opponent of Buyer (not sure who - name wasn't memorable to me) attacking Buyer as voting against pro-life positions (particularly support for UN and thus the family planning dollars), voting for making government larger (cites a number of votes), etc. Apparently the conservative Buyer, just isn't conservative enough. In that same time frame I heard a Buyer ad - promoting his support for making prescription drugs more affordable for seniors... and his support for lowering veterans health care costs including prescription drugs.
I have viewed this district exceptionally safe for republicans. Yet am surprised that there appears to be (at least suggested by the heavy airplay of commercials in such a very short time frame) a battle going on in the republican primary. Could this give clues to the democrats running? Or is it just a sign of growing fractures among Hoosier republicans?
Anyone know anything about this race? Until yesterday it was completely off of my radar screen.

Look at the cover of the Indy paper and you can see the people are waking up. I like the "let it out" section, many more anti-Bush remarks :) , But still they do have a few blind republican sell-out America for a few bucks supporters. Go Pacers!!!

| 2. I don't know about this particular race... |

but I say it is high time to start poking our noses into the bedrooms of pro-life people. Are they really living up to all their moral standards? Are they really waiting until marriage?
Make them produce their girlfriends. Don't accept the "wild youth, but now I'm repentant" song and dance. Remember it is in our wild youth that we do things that we repent later on in life!!!
Sexual shenanigans are an occupational hazard of politicians. Let's out them!
Bring it on!

I've read some stuff about Rick Santorum's (the man-on-dog guy) domestic life that struck me as _very weird_. Not in the usual sense, but in keeping the children living in a world of their own.
Don't know anything that's not 'out" about Indiana Repub politicos, but it does no harm to keep looking.

"Soft on Illegal Aliens" is how the ad painted him. Said if Buyer hadn't voted to gut immigration laws, then 19 "terrorists" would have never been allowed in to learn to fly airplanes"....
So this guy's not wasting time with the School Board, he wants to get his Dominionist ass right into the Congressional Play-pen....
Pity he doesn't spend as much time on repeating his name as he does bashing Buyer. A truly forgetable candidate...

Fuck 'em. Let them devour each other. About time the Republicans started becoming like Democrats with their in-party sniping.
