Did you know that even a felon can file for an elected office
And even if the Election Board members know the person is a felon they can't remove him from the ballot? Isn't that idiotic? A voter from the district has to file a complaint to remove the person before the Election Board will consider it.

The law needs to be changed to provide the Election Board the ability for their staff to certify that the candidates are eligible. And if there is a question of whether one is a felon than provide an opportunity for the candidate to prove they are not the person in question. That is if the Election Board has response from the law enforcement or the courts that a person is a felon.
