1. Panthers made 10/27 feel like 10/31! Early Halloween turing into early Thanksgiving!

:scared: I tell ya rurallib it felt like YSU was a brick wall. We could do nothing to stop their offense (up until the fourth quarter their quarterback had all the time in the world to hand-off or throw the ball and their runners always had an opening). And we couldn't run the ball beyond a couple of yards x(. The air in the Dome seemed flat and the team operated in slow motion.
But man-o-man - the fourth quarter was a dream! The fourth quarter reminded me of homecoming, the crowd was on it's feet and LOUD and the team worked, well, as a TEAM! Farley said it best in the post-game interview - something to the effect of...they had a better game-plan than we did and it took us three quarters to figure it out...:7

3. It's impossilble for a team to be at the top of their game every week

Ya just hope when you hit a down week, that a ball will bounce your way and victory can be snatched from the jaws of defeat. Hang in there.

2. Sounds like it was a heckuva game!

A good team, such as UNI will overcome good teams and performances such as YSU had, and prevail. Congrats to the Panthers on a nice comeback. Still no. 1 I would guess.

I heard the ND State is not eligible to play in the championship tournament for some reason. Does anybody know if that is true? I heard it while I was watching them beat Minnesota. Had something to do with their changing divisions. I believe they moved from Division 2 to 1AA. Be a shame if they couldn't. I'd love to ssee a UNI/NDSU matchup. Whoops don't put the cart before the horse.

I'm from Cedar Falls, graduated from UNI and we still have family and friends in the area, so I keep up on Cedar Valley news and Iowa politics. It is nice to see the Panthers' success in football.
As for NDSU, not sure. I believe they (and South Dakota State) are joining UNI's football conference next year.

I know I've posted this before...but any team that keeps Montana down in the polls is a team I like!
