I was searching around to see if we had any energy tax credits for new energy efficient appliance available.. and found this blip. Makes you proud

Iowa has instituted one of the country’s most aggressive energy efficiency and renewable energy campaigns. By 2010, state agencies must begin purchasing 10% of their electricity from renewable sources, and reduce overall energy consumption by 15%. Iowa is home to the Department of Energy’s Ames National Laboratory which conducts fundamental research in the physical, chemical, and mathematical sciences associated with energy generation and storage.
