Please join me Sunday, Sept. 18, for the 28th annual Harkin Steak Fry! This year, we're going to have a good time and do good at the same time, because half of the ticket proceeds will be donated to organizations helping victims of Hurricane Katrina. Also, our special guest this year will be Senator John Edwards, who will report on his fight against poverty and inequality in America.

So I hope you'll join me at the Warren County Fairgrounds in Indianola -- rain or shine -- for an afternoon of rousing speeches, sizzling steaks, good friends, and the down-home music of the Maple Street Jazz Band.

Student tickets are $15.
