| Anyone from Decorah area? Decorah was on NPR today - reporter |
|
talking to folks at local bakery/coffee shop that my beloved late daddy used to hang out at... Reporter called it "an impossibly pretty little town" which is true, but I was really saddened to hear all the idiots talking about how they will probably vote for the Chimp....mostly old men... I keep thinking about how Daddy said, just a month or so before he died, that he wanted his last weeks on Earth to be peaceful, so would we please never again mention Cheney the Dick's name in his home.
Rock on and rest in peace, Pop...
C'mon, Iowans! Wake UP!!!!!

full of Kerry bumper stickers. The last pastor WENT because he alway prayed for "George" (not the pres and the government). He was not a good fit, as a matter of fact, we all think he is a frustrated (even if married 2 or maybe 3 times, not sure about that) Catholic.(Okay my Catholics buds not a slam just an assessment of a particular person that may be in the wrong field or in the wrong church.) Too funny. One of my sorority sister at NTU was from Decorah Iowa. She came for the excellent music department. She was an absolute doll and very talented.

but only about an hour away. Decorah is unlike anything you'll see traveling the interstates through Iowa, post-card picturesque at its finest. As a matter of fact a lot of NE Iowa is like that. Good Norwegian heritage there. Dignitaries from Norway traveling to the states almost always make a stop there. Luther College is a very good school for music, the sciences and psychology.
Those old men were either old farmers or conservative Lutherans who'd never vote Dem even if it were their last act on this earth.
