Find out April 13 at the Metro Democratic Club.
A special workshop on how Republicans frame issues, turn them into clubs and beat Democrats with them will feature a video presentation by George Lakoff, professor of cognitive science and linguistics at the University of California , Berkeley . Lakoff is the author of Don't think of an elephant. Know your values and frame the debate , which has become an important primer for Democrats trying to recapture the majority. Wednesday, April 13
6:00 p.m. Dinner & Networking
6:30 p.m. Program: Lakoff video and framing workshop.
The monthly meetings of the Metro Democratic Club are held at Swiss Hall, 719 Lynn Street , between Shelby and Preston streets.

elephant!" by George Lakoff (the essential guide for progressives) and asked everyone read the book and be ready to discuss the ideas put forth about re-framing the discussion away from repug talking points back to liberal and democratic ideals. We have had our lunch handed to us for the last several election cycles and this is just one step in taking back the country. I am only about half way through be plan to be finished by meeting time.
