| Lafayette Louisiana Cajundome opened as a shelter?! |
|
Watching http://www.khou.com/perl/common/video/wmPlayer.pl?title=beloint_khou&props=livenoadand they said that the Dome is open as a shelter. This place has a HUGE parking area and can *seat* 12,000 but I'm not sure how many people they will have on the floor area. The phone number there is out of service when I called. http://www.cajundome.com/contactUs.aspMain number 337-265-2100

The site now has a new temporary number, 337-232-3140. If anybody knows of more shelters, please PM me and I'll add them. http://www.lightupthedarkness.org/katrina.htm

| 2. The Fruit of the Loom plant in Abbeville? |
|
The Fruit of the Loom plant has been empty since AHS moved out of it and back into their school. My son drove by there yesterday, and saw alot of activity....could they be planning to open it as a shelter? If I find out more today, I will post.
