but NC. Saw it yesterday. Believe me when I say this, you will be a different thinking person when leave the theater. I felt I knew alot about the current state of affairs but I was overwhelmed. It is powerful to say the least.

| 2. I saw it yesterday, well worth the 12 bucks for ticket/popcorn... |
|
It didn't really change my beliefs in much of anyway because most of it was all stuff that I'd already read or heard about. Regardless it was very fun and very sad at the same time. It's almost worth it for his great collection of Bush clips.

What was the reaction of the audience? I want to go just to see the audience's reaction (and to support Moore's efforts).

I went on Saturday (second day) so there were lots of people there. It felt kinda cool standing in line with a bunch of fellow liberals. Lots of people had their John Kerry buttons etc. There were no protesters but there were some Republicans sitting in the back who clapped in a scene when Iraq gets bombed. Somebody to the left of me yelled "shut up you sick fucks". Other than that the movie was realatively peaceful. Lots of applause at the end.

|
of places showing F911. Shreveport???? Shreveport???? Good God..... Shreveport and STILL NO Lafayette???? Shreveport/Bossier City is considered part of Fundi Texas for crying out loud! And yes, I know what I am talking about....I lived in Shreveport for 13 years, and now live in New Iberia and believe me....Shreveport is much more "Freeper" than Lafayette/New Iberia!

Man, that's David Duke country.
Lafayette is a whole 'nother world than Shreveport. The food in Lafayette is reason enough to move there.

A big crowd but well-behaved. You could tell you were among friends. People laughing and sniffling throughout. Applause at the end. There were families with kids there as well as lots of older folk. It felt good to be part of a like-minded crowd.

I'm amazed they had it at the Palace. On the other hand, it's easier to drive from the Garden District and Uptown along River Road to Harahan than it is to go Down Town. Though, the Quarter is fun when you have friends from out of town. We saw "Bolling for Columbine" in Canal Place 3 times, and had a blast afterwards.

One woman in the lady's room was telling her friends she was worried that the "people who are not as well informed as we are" will think it's fictional. I have the same worry. The other comments I overheard were very positive toward Moore and the film. Everyone stood and applauded at the end. I only saw one person walk out, but I think he was distressed by the Bush/Saudi stuff. He wasn't loud but he was becoming increasingly distressed and finally just silently bolted. Sometimes people need time to process, perhaps he'll be back another day.

much more than I had hoped for. Moore's work is deserving of all the praise, I find myself having little vignettes constantly pop into my mind to think on. It was a constant bombardment of information even though I was familiar with most of it. Out of all the weird a$$es, of which there is an abundance, Wolfie licking his comb was the strangest of the strange. It will be worth your drive. I live about an hour and 25 minutes from the theater we attended. There must have been about 250-300 in attendance and not a single disruptor. Hope you have a great experience.

Yesterday, drove to BR to Siegen Cinema to see the movie. Like others, I was familiar with many pieces of it, but to have it all put-together in one two-hour period, was very intense, to say the least. I went to the Monday afternoon (4:45) showing, and there were only about 50 in attendance, but the ticket seller said they had had sell-outs on Friday night, all day Saturday and Sunday. I thought it was brilliant, and the amount of "coincidences" involving the Saudi/Bush connection was just overwhelming....jeez, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck, huh? Last night, went to Casino Rouge and told everyone sitting at the various blackjack tables about coming to BR to see the movie....had many interesting discussions about it, but hope I convinced a few to go see for themselves and then form their own opinions. Wish Michael Moore would refund the $200 I lost there! If you haven't seen the movie, go, it will stay with you for a long, long time.
Resistance is invigorating!

I took off work early to see the 4:30 show. The theater was about half full, which I didn't think was bad for a 4:30 in the afternoon show on a Friday before a long holiday weekend.

I hope to get over there one day this week for a matinee. I'll be sure to give y'all a full report.
It opened Friday, July 2nd at the Causeway Cinema 4. I doubt they'll play it for very long, but I consider it a MAJOR VICTORY that it made it onto a Mandeville screen at all. GO MICHAEL GO!

|
I think we have a pretty good shot. Every statewide office in Louisiana is held by a Democrat right now, except for Secretary of State. The results of our elections have bucked national trends the last two years and gone for the Dems. Mandeville notwithstanding, I think it's even money that Louisiana will go Blue in November.

Another standing O for Moore.
This is deep-dyed GOP white flight territory. It does give you heart that Bush is toast.
Not as many families or seniors as when I saw it in Harahan. More of a married couple or partner'd crowd.

| 25. F911 will be playing in Mandeville "For Quite Awhile" (!!!) |
|
I just called the theatre in Mandeville to see how long F9ll will be playing there and the gal told me it will be playing "for quite a while".
I said, "Oh, good. I was afraid it was going to close Thursday and I wouldn't get a chance to see it."
She said, "No, it's been making way too much money for us to close it after only a week. You'll have plenty of time to catch it."
I thought I was going to have to pick my jaw up off the floor. This is GREAT news!!!
Anyway, DH and I will be going to see it this weekend. I can't wait!

very different experiences but maybe it was just me
opening night tickets in Baton ROuge typical Rocky Horror Picture Show audience like you hear from all over the nation
a week later in New Orleans the audience just sat there STUNNED at the end
both times I wore my 'Up Yours Bush' T-shirt (with some misgivings but I didn't want to be a weenie!)
I had two very different reactions I may very well go see it a third time

Kaliste Saloom road. The movie was excellent, I think it far surpasses Bowling For Columbine (I haven't seen Roger & Me or his other work). The crowd laughed at some of the parts that really were NOT funny but overall it was a good experience. The movie got a standing ovation at the end.
