Marc Morial probably was more corrupt than Sidney Barthelemy, his predecessor, and that's saying a lot. Nagin has done his best to clean up the city;his business background has hurt his popularity with some, but he's tuned in to the real needs of the people, as opposed to the photo-ops. Morial won the same way Shrub did - on his family's name. Morial was more competent than Bush, of course, but so are the dead oak trees on St. Charles Ave. Marc Morial's father Dutch was overall a good mayor, though with some major flaws. Not so the son.
