Meet NAACP President and CEO on March 12th in NOLA

NAACP’S BRUCE GORDON WILL BE IN NEW ORLEANS
ON SUNDAY, MARCH 12TH
TO MEET WITH ALL LOUISIANA NAACP MEMBERS

Mr. Bruce S. Gordon, President and CEO of the NAACP
will be in New Orleans on Sunday, March 12th at 5:00 PM to
meet with all members of the Louisiana State Conference NAACP.
The purpose of Mr. Gordon's visit is to announce the next phase of the
NAACP's Katrina Recovery and Rebuild New Orleans efforts.
He will also be announcing new initiatives to
Protect the Vote in the upcoming municipal and state elections.

The meeting will take place at the
Sixth Baptist Church, 928 Felicity Street, New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dylan aka Kesey has action planned for March 18th in Covington.
NAACP will be there with the Covington Peace Project.
March 27th NAACP has action planned in Baton Rouge.
We still have plastic on windows.

Good to keep it all straight! Glad to hear that you are still active, despite the set-back of the hurricane. Rita ripped us a good one....10 of our schools went down, so have "doubled up" with other schools, one school using the facility on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The other school uses the facility on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It makes for a very interesting school year, to say the least. I live in downtown Abbeville, which didn't sustain alot of damage, thank goodness.....but the southern end of our parish is wrecked, just wrecked. And, communities like Erath, goodness, it just breaks your heart.
