Looking for NOLA family-oriented info

Hey, the four of us are visiting after Christmas, and I'm hoping someone can steer us toward some places to eat around the French Quarter that are good for younger kids (7 and 4). A breakfast place would be great, too, seeing as how our hotel doesn't do breakfast.

Any info or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Got any ideas for things to do/see with kids? We won't have a car, unfortunately.

We can't wait! It's our first trip there.

Things to do: Aquarium of the Americas is right there at the foot of Iberville; Audubon Zoo, under same management, is at the other end of the Magazine St. bus line. Hours do rather suck, though:

City Park (Canal streetcar to Museum) used to be known for kiddie stuff; don't know how much is back in, though. In case you hadn't guessed, I'm going soon, too, and not for the first time, either: I lived there for an all-too-brief time around 1990.
