SKOWHEGAN -- A police officer received a report at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday of a skunk with a bucket on its head walking around near Harvey's Trailer Park on North Avenue.

Another caller then reported that her husband had just taken the bucket off the skunk's head. A message was left for the town's animal control officer to check it out. There was no action required on the part of police, according to the report.
