There is going to be a Bake Sale for Democracy on July 4th by the dock in Annapolis. If anyone wants to help out, please contact me...for obvious reasons I took off the contact info. I look forward to seeing you there.

Help bring an end to the Bush/Cheney tyranny by helping with the Bake Sale
for Democracy July 4th, 2004 from 12:30 to 2:00 at Market House Plaza on the Annapolis City Dock. The bake sale is being coordinated by citizens of the
city who want to express themselves through this grass roots form of
fund-raising. Money will be raised by selling brownies, cookies, and other
irresistible sweets. This is a simple, peaceful, family oriented fund raiser
and rally to educate local voters about the current President's disastrous
record in all areas of government leadership.
The proceeds benefit MoveOn PAC, an internet based group dedicated to the
electoral defeat of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. This kind of fund
raising contrasts sharply with the billionaire schmoozing of the Bush
campaign. MoveOn has been staging events and running ads to bring the real record of the Bush/Cheney administration to public attention.
This is an "anyone but Bush" event. We ask only that the participants seek
to raise money for MoveOn PAC. Any organization that seeks the peaceful
defeat of the President in the election may participate by distributing
flyers and providing information on key issues. Kerry supporters are needed
to hand out Pro-Kerry brochures. This is a great time to discuss how best
to campaign against Bush in this city and state.
Volunteers are needed for several tasks. In addition to baking and table
staffing, we need several volunteers to stay for clean-up. Musicians may
play as long as they play acoustically. We also need volunteers to do new voter registration. We need volunteers to call and
e-mail friends in order to have a good turn out on 7/4.
