Maryland PIRG ?
Anyone know anything about this group? Just had someone come to my door looking for money for them for the Clean Cars Act. I'm relatively new to MD and haven't heard of them.

have organizations in all states.
It stands for Public Interest Research Group. It was founded by Ralph Nader but is now independent of him. They campaign on National and State issues involving water, air, environment, consumer protection, etc. They make a yearly report at Christmas on new toys and if they are safe. Warn about credit card scams, etc.
