i love what a regular guy he is, and i love how he cares about the individuals in this city. i had major problems with some guys renovating the house next to mine (bashing holes in the walls, not having insulation on the wall i share, and other not so lovely things).
after about a year of trying to deal with them i emailed mayor o'malley about it and within four hours he had the head building inspector over there who found more problems with the place than i knew of.
also, a girl i work with emailed him about some neighbors of hers who were abusing and neglecting their kids and within a week those kids were out of that horrible place.
my point is that despite some problems he has had i will vote for him for any position he decides to run for including president.

| 2. How much did Big 'E' have to do with it? |
|
I'm still not convinced that big "E" had much to do with the smear tactics. When you have so many people working for you sometimes people under you do dumb things that think it will help you. Plus big "E" fired the guy right away.
Now don't get me wrong, I do see a problem with the entire situation, I just haven't been convinced that big "E" knew or planned anything with it.
As for O'Mally.. Do you live in Baltimore? There is a lot wrong with Baltimore, lets start off with the 270+ homicides last year and the year before. I shouldn't feel like I have to carry a gun just to protect myself and my family.
Lets continue with I saw a city clean up crew over on Hanover street during the big city wide clean up.. Well, they put the trash in bags... that was 3 months ago.. the trash is still in the bags on the sides of the streets in the back alleys. No one picked up the trash bags.. what a waste of government funding to do all that work and not get the trash bags after.
If he can't fix Baltimore.. how is he going to fix the state.
Isn't their another Democrat that is running other than O'Malley??

is running too. He has a better anti-slot record, but I don't know much about him.

| 6. O' Malley is good but his wife is the worst judge. |
|
I hate the fact that his totally incompetent wife is a judge. We all know she only got it because of her father. If you ever want to see incompetence in action, go and sit in on some of her cases. I feel soooo sorry for anyone who has to put up with her. I have a feeling Mayor O'Malley loves his work so much because his wife isn't there to henpeck him and ruin everything.

| 5. I lived in Montgomery County from 1974 until 2002 |
|
and I am very familiar with Doug Duncan.
I like his stand on slots, but I don't think it will go over well with a lot of people in Maryland. I campaigned for KKT in 2000 and I heard many, many people object to her position on slots, which was the same as Duncan's.
Duncan is definitely indebted to the developers. In 2002 his people did a real smear on one of the most honest, hard-working and dedicated politicians in Montgomery County history: Blair Ewing.
Personally, I am for O'Malley 100%. Baltimore isn't perfect, but then no big city is. I think being governor will be a piece of cake compared to being mayor of Baltimore.
