Pile on New Lawmakers. Do you know any registered voters in Charlton? How about Oxford?
Those are among the districts of the small number of newly seated Massachusetts lawmakers who have not declared or not committed on same-sex marriage. Lobbyist and other legislators of all opinion will have a go at them about the amendment coming up soon for a Constitutional Convention vote. Hearing from their constituents means a lot more to them.

Before you lift the heavier load of trying to persuade those who voted in favor of advancing the amendment or those who voted to do so in January, consider the following for letters, calls or visits. Handwritten letters are much, much more influential than email or computer-generated form letters. A visit to the district office or State House one is even better. Make sure to get an appointment to sit down face to face.

The person making the contact should be a voter in their district. If you know some equality-loving soul in one of these areas, you can go here. Plug in the address to verify the legislator. That link will provide the legislators for the address and contact information.

You likely want to say that you and your neighbors favor marriage equality and definitely do not want to see discrimination written into our commonwealth's constitution. You don't want your representative to help try to remove existing civil rights from any minority.

The new and presumed persuadable legislators are:
