Man charged after incident in women's restroom at casino

UNCASVILLE, Conn. -- A Boston man was found hiding in a women's bathroom at Mohegan Sun casino, where he allegedly vandalized a stall so he could look into the adjacent one, police said Wednesday.

Malcolm Maker, 48, a registered sex offender in Massachusetts, was charged with criminal mischief and breach of peace, according to court records.

Maker is accused of entering the women's bathroom in the casino's hotel spa area and pulling a trash receptacle off the wall so he could see into the adjacent stall, police said.

Investigators were working Tuesday to determine how long Maker was inside before a casino employee discovered him, and whether any patrons used the ladies' room during that time, state police Trooper William Tate said.
