BOSTON— Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barak H. Obama are working to nail down support in Massachusetts as they move into a new phase of their campaigns for the Democratic nomination for president.
Yesterday 19 state legislators, including four state senators from Central Massachusetts, declared their support for Mrs. Clinton, while Mr. Obama prepared for an appearance last night at Boston University aimed at charging up the ranks of his volunteers based here who will play a role in his campaign in New Hampshire.
