BROCKTON — Brockton High School has hit the right note after being selected to broadcast a special live performance by the Washington National Opera.
The school is among 16 educational institutions, and one of only two high schools in the country, chosen to present a live simulcast of the WNO's performance of Puccini's “La Boheme” on Sept. 23.

“We will do a unit on opera that week to encourage students to attend the show so when the simulcast happens, the kids will know what they are listening to,” he said.
The school will open its doors for the free performance at 2 p.m. and will present the show on a huge projection screen.
The public is invited to attend, although seats will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Brockton High School is one of a number of institutions to be selected by the prestigious opera company.
