BREAKING NEWS: Brockton man charged in Commercial St. slaying

BROCKTON — A 20-year-old city man has been charged in the brutal death of a 20-year-old man whose body was found early Sunday morning at a BAT bus parking garage on Commercial Street.

A passerby called authorities after finding the body of the victim, whose name and address were not released Sunday.

Assistant District Attorney Frank Middleton said the victim had suffered “blunt trauma and penetrating wounds” but he declined to elaborate on a murder weapon or other details pending an autopsy scheduled for Monday.

Lawrence Harris, 20, of 35 Weston St., Brockton, was arrested in connection with the victim's death.
