Arsonist tries to set fire to Lawrence, Mass. nightclub "El Centro."

LAWRENCE, Mass. -- An arsonist was caught on surveillance video as he attempted to bomb the El Centro nightclub in downtown Lawrence.

According to police, the suspect filled three, five-gallon water bottles with gasoline and threw the bottles inside of the club around 3 a.m. Friday morning. Only one of the bottles ignited.

The bottle that ignited rolled a bit, but when it exploded it was right underneath a sprinkler, which immediately extinguished that fire and it prevented the other two bottles from igniting," Chief John Romero, Lawrence Police Department, said.

Luckily no one was inside of the club at the time of the incident.
