BROCKTON —
Twenty-four teenagers were arrested early today after allegedly breaking into a vacant Harrison Avenue apartment where police said they came upon an out-of-control party.
“A number of youths were hanging out of open windows, screaming and waving their arms,” Lt. John Crowley, chief of detectives said.
Many more youths fled the scene when police arrived at 1 a.m., according Crowley.
Some held doors to prevent police from entering, others resisted arrest as the entire midnight shift of police officers responded to the area, Crowley said.
Most of those arrested are from Brockton. Sony Hyppolite of Vale Street is listed as the owner of the property at 9 Harrison Ave.
