Screw WBZ radio. They can't even keep their RW slant out of the traffic report.
I usually tune in right "on the threes" to avoid their police blotter news, rightwing spin, and payday-loan commercials. I can tolerate a few seconds of that crap.

But this morning, the lead-in "banter" to the traffic was about how the Congress was on vacation "in the middle of the energy crisis". And the traffic guy gave it right back about how bad the Congress was.

I was so pissed I almost crashed my car. Paid for a 411 call and gave it to some wanker named "dillon" who answered the phone. Of course, he hung up.

Why can't we get these bums off the air? What's next? "Stick it to the liberals - buy a Hummer."

1. WBZ-TV isn't much better...
the new weather guy is a climate-change denier and Paula Ebbons is from a prominent Repug family. I can't watch Channel 7 because it is like having the Herald on-air, and channel 5 doesn't do anything for me.

We need a progressive, independent tv station in Boston. The closest we have is WGBH.

2. I usually go between channel 5 and NECN for local news & weather
They seem to be the least bad.

3. Jack Williams strikes me as a liberal
Maybe I'm wrong.

Who's the climate change denier? He must have gotten his metereological degree from a cracker jacks box.

8. The new weather guy
Todd Gutner. They were talking about climate change one morning. Todd said that they still don't know what melted the glaciers and there is no way we can prove that the warming is going to cause any problems, or something like that.

4. Still better than RKO, no?
I often drive back and forth across the state, and usually listen to AM radio. RKO is just awful...Finneran in the morning, followed by that ass Reese, then Rush, followed by Howie Carr. :puke:

At least when I get close to Hamden County, I can pick up Air America, on 3 stations in the Pioneer Valley. Wish we could still get it out here. x(

It's been a while since I've been on the road after 7, so I'm not sure if he's still on. I hope not. x(

12. Stop supporting "terrestrial radio"
I listen to Satellite Radio, and have not even listened to "terrestrial" since I plugged my Sirius radio in over a year ago.

The only way to change what is "given" to us, is to stop supporting whatever media outlet that has been a disappointment.

For instance FOX, a joke of all jokes.

If people stopped watching it, it would disappear.....the way it should.

FOX is where President Bush goes to spread his lies.

Our Founding Fathers warned about corporations controlling politics and FOX is one BIG corporation.
