Public health interviews with affected individuals revealed that they ate ground beef products from Whole Foods Markets during the month of July, according to a press release from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH).
The Massachusetts cases range in age from 3 to 60 years old. They include residents of Middlesex, Suffolk and Essex counties. They reported becoming ill between July 10-29. At least five of the cases were hospitalized.
