Stop the Pike Hike--- My Sister is a Director with this organization...
Not sure if you Bostonians have been writing about this, but damn---doubling the toll cost for the tunnel, etc.... that ain't good. My Sis say's the movement against the hike is pretty big and they have hope it will not happen.

4. Not even close...
My point is that things cost money. And tough times are ahead. But it doesn't mean that we can let things fall into disrepair because we don't want to pay for them, because it isn't convenient.

5. The issue is that the burden falls unfairly on North Shore, Metrowest and city dwellers.
Folks using the roads from the South Shore and NH don't have to pay anything. Yes, we need to find the revenue somewhere. Applying tolls unfairly is not the answer.

3. It's ridiculous.
People who live in the western suburbs, the North Shore, and the city get screwed. They should put tolls on the NH border for the thousands of New Hampshirites who use our roads everyday.

6. That's not a bad idea.
Whenever we go up to NH we end up paying plenty of tolls on their roads.

7. Eliminate all tolls. Raise the gas tax by 50 cents.
Dedicate half of that to the T and the rest to roads, etc. This resident of the North Shore is tired of paying for tolls when the South Shore and commuters from NH and the northern interior suburbs pay nothing.
