Tomorrow will be a VERY exciting day!

Since 1992, I have been part of a volunteer Board of Directors for a Community Health Center. We have certainly struggled with financing, since it is a non profit, serving the needs of a community that has been, and continues to be largely under-served.

We have just opened an additional location in Gloucester. Renovation of the building in which the Center is located was not cheap.

Many of you may have read this past week that the Health Center has been awarded $1.3M from the Stimulus bill.

Senator Kerry and Congressman Tierney are to present the award to the Center at the Gloucester location tomorrow afternoon. It is VERY exciting, and I am really looking forward to it.

I am only sorry that Senator Kennedy will not be able to be there.
