| Might as well have 3 posts in a row. Have a phone question. |
|
I get my phone service from Verizon. Just got my bill today and it is $27.71 for $2.40 worth of calls. Is there any other option in MA or do I have to go cell only to try and save. This is getting silly. Month after month it is the same. I'm just not into "phone" chats and my family calls me to check how "gramma" is. I'm wasting money
Do we in MA have any other option for land line other than Verizon that I might contact? Long distance is no problem, I use PowerNetGlobal and it is cheap and very reliable.

I live in Western Mass in a little 1/2 horse town where calls to anywhere...even just one town over...are considered "long distance".
We've had "Call Around 413" for years, and it really came in handy when we had the modem instead of DSL. Our bills would literally have been in the thousands of dollars back then if we hadn't had Call Around...one set monthly charge for all calls within our area code. Anyway, we have Verizon for our landline and Verizon for cellphones. I don't know of any other services you can get in Mass, especially if you're out near Boston or anything.
I'm thinking we may want to go back to the prepaid cellphone service, whether it's Verizon or whatever. Our current plan allows us 700 minutes per month, and honestly, like you, I don't even know if we talk that much in SIX months. Lots of wasted money and minutes...
If I were you, I would do the prepaid cellphone thing, assuming you get a good signal at your house.
