and history of one of Boston's most famous landmarks will be saved.
Many of us who have lived here for generations remember "The Enchanted Village" at Jordan Marsh each Christmas. We went ourselves with our parents, we took our kids.
It has been gone for a long time and many missed this beautiful Christmas exhibit.
It is to your credit that you have bought this Icon and will bring it to your facilities to set up for future generations.
I hope my grandchildren are able to come East to visit this Christmas. I will surely take them.

| 3. The news was on NECN this AM. The whole Village was |

bought yesterday at auction for $140,000 by Jordan's Furniture. One of the brothers, I think Eliot was talking about going to see it himself as a kid. When you see the display, I think they got a bargain. It would be millions to replace today and would never be as wonderful. It is history as well as art.

We have pictures of us as kids with Santa. Every year we'd go to Boston and visit Jordan Marsh to see the Enchanted Village. The store windows were almost a destination in themselves.
I also remember a candy we'd be able to get at JM. It was a wax angel that had chocolate inside. My mother doesn't remember it at all. Does anyone else remember these?

she nearly cried and swore that when she bought her new house this year she would furnish it from Jordans.
Good deed also equals good buisness.
Thanks Jordan Furniture!

I could definitely picture it at a Jordan's Furniture store. Their stores are like amusement parks.
From Jordan Marsh to Jordan's Furniture--does anybody remember their commercials years ago that had the tag line, "Not to be confused with Jordan Marsh"? :D

It would have been a shame to have the Village broken up.
Thank you, sir.

the Enchanted Village was way cool, but, as a suburban kid, my favorite things were riding the escalator and subway in Jordan Marsh.
