1. The real problem, as usual, is "outside expenditures".

The American Freedom Fund and the US Chamber of Commerce
(among others?) is combining to ensure that Brown gets about
3X the airtime of Coakley. And they can run really nasty shit
while still allowing Brown to make the claim the he isn't "going
negative".

But that's the beauty of American politics as guaranteed by our
incumbent American politicians.
