Anyone her notice that Comcast has eliminated the Cooking Channel

if you have basic cable?

I thought there was something wrong with my TV, all of a sudden Channel 22 was gone. I called Customer Service this AM and was told that 22 is no longer available unless you have a more expensive package.

There is a reason I have Basic Cable. If I had a new Digital TV and a lot more money, I'd have better channel choice. In my simple package of channels 2 thru 21(less 8), I have few options. Anyone who has basic probably has the same gripes I have about the channels offered.

Since I watch so little, I suppose it is not that big a deal. At least I have NECN. I will miss the cooking channel however.

They take away NECN and I will cancel Cable altogether.

In fact, I think I'll look into Satellite to see what they offer and who much it will cost.

1. I love Direct TV. I think they are the best. I don't care when you call them someone is always

there. They will help you and stay with you til you get your problem solved or will send someone out. We do have the protection plan and I love it. I can call them and tell them the remote isn't working and they will send me a new one at no cost. My son has Dish and he doesn't like it. I think after a year he will discontinue it and go with Direct TV.. The only thing I don't like is all the religious channels. We are catholic that is the only station we need for religion for my family.
