Patriots fans, Did I hear a comment on NECN a few days ago

saying that the Patriots were in negotiation w/Peyton Manning and the Colts??
I may have mis-heard this, I caught the end of the sports report and thought I heard it.

What a coup that would be!

It would be great and I can tease my son-in-law about it. He is a huge Manning fan and is moving to MA.

Besides - never gonna happen. Manning isn't going anywhere. Rumors have it that he will be the highest paid QB in the NFL this upcoming season after they resign him. You might have heard something along those lines, that the Pats would feel pressured to pay Brady equally well when his contract has to be re-upped next season. ('11, I believe)
