| Is Charlie Baker going to be like Scott Brown? Talk me down! |
|
Will he overtake Deval Patrick in the last few weeks of the campaign?
His message is a lot of the same bullsh*t Scotty ran on... "low taxes" "tired of the legislature"..
Where is Deval's campaign? I see NOTHING on the media! Is he taking a vacation like Martha Coakley did?
Charlie Baker scares me because he looks so much like Scotty Brown, not physically, but campaign wise..lots of talk, says nothing, but has the buzz words and the sound bites.

| 1. Deval has been running a boots-on-the-ground type of campaign. |
|
It's been going for a while. He has a bunch of organizers, each committed to find 50 people they know to commit to vote for him. He's been pretty active at reaching out to active Democrats, to Democratic meetings and such. He's always sending news about his latest accomplishments through Facebook. Sometimes these things show up in the newspaper, though perhaps not that often yet, but then again, most people don't start paying attention until the fall anyway. I'm guessing that he'll start hitting the media more, with ads and such, as we get closer to the election.
I'm one of the organizers I mentioned. Have you pledged to vote for Deval yet? If you haven't (and you are a MA voter), PM me your name and email address and I'll send you an email through which you can do that.

| 2. Thank you for your work! I am a FORMER Mass voter who loves |

your state, and cannot legally vote there now. (because I now live in NH,legally, and vote here)
I voted for Patrick in 2006, and would do it again, but would get arrested if I did.
I am seeing TV ads for Charlie and Tim in the Boston TV market, (4-5-7 and Fox).
Where are the Patrick ads?

| 3. I'm guessing he'll wait until later in the fall to run ads. |
|
Except for the activists, nobody is really paying a lot of attention to the election during the summer. There are also primaries in September, and he'll probably wait until after that is over. (There is a pretty serious 3-way race for auditor this year.) If I remember correctly, he's been doing pretty well in the polls thus far. I'm not really worried about things yet. I'll wait to worry if I'm not seeing him in the media more in another month. Too bad you don't still live in Mass. :-)

| 4. Baker is running a "vote for me because I'm not them" campaign. |
|
Eventually, he will have to explain how to cut taxes and balance the budget. And I want to know where he stands on the ballot questions. He must be for all of them, I would think. So when the tax on alcohol ( and what is it about alcohol that it gets it's own ballot question for repeal out of all the taxes paid in this state?) and the income tax goes to 3%, where will the cuts be made?

| 5. His whole message is "had enough"? |
|
He HAS no message. He's banking on voter dissatisfaction with Deval and Cahill's third party candidacy to win.
And, knowing this goddamn state and its complete impatience with everything, he'll probably win.
