MITT ROMNEY is running for president. But, first, will he seek reelection

With his speech yesterday in SC he is tacking right - would you do that as you gear up for a gubenatorial run for reelection in MA?

This has to be an issue;how repugs don't care about governing this state. It's all about using it as a stepping stone to go somewhere else

1. He won't get any kudos from the Bay State

The hairsprayed, freaky looking clown is, how can I put it....HATED. HATED!!! Yeah, HATED works pretty well!

He may be making a run for it, but Pat Buchanan did too, and we saw where that got him. The best he can hope for is the VP slot on the ticket, and quite frankly, MA is blue, why waste the slot? If he'd stayed in Utah and taken the governorship there, he might have a shot, but he sure doesn't do shit for the GOP on a national ticket--he can't even be assured of delivering his OWN state.

If I were a powerhouse in the GOP, I'd suggest the following to the Dunce-governor: Keep dreaming, Mitt....ya lameass fool!

2. First let's defeat him in 2006

Then we can work on ruining his presidential ambitions. We need to take back the Governor's office asap, and paint Romney as a loser overall. I don't think he'll sell well nationally. He won't get the Repug fundies, because they think Mormons are heretics. And he won't get many Dems, because he's a Repug.

3. I would love to defeat him; but is he going to give us that chance?

After reading Vennochi's column and remembering the last 16 years - repug govs don't tend to stick around when they have their eye on something else

IMHO,watch the polls. If Romney starts to really falter vs a Dem - he's outta here. He can't handle a defeat considering his ambitions

That's why I want him to run. I want to defeat him
