We have an exciting piece of news about Sheila Smith's fundraiser hosted by Nancy Skinner this coming Sunday!
Sally Castleman, co-founder and national chairperson of the Election Defense Alliance,
http://www.electiondefensealliance.org/sally_castleman, has come to Michigan with the film, "Stealing America: Vote by Vote," opening soon at The Main Theatre in Royal Oak. This film has been likened to An Inconvenient Truth -- a wake-up call to save our planet -- as a wake-up call about the state of our democracy. "STEALING AMERICA: Vote by Vote" is a 'must-see' film for anyone who cares about our democracy and fair elections.
Sally wanted to meet with some of the leaders of election reform activities, and Sheila's name was given to her before she came to Michigan as someone who cares passionately and is in the forefront of election reform. Her candidacy for county clerk and the contents of the movie seem very related.
Please welcome Sally to Michigan and come out to support Sheila in her bid to be the next Oakland County Clerk/Register of Deeds. Jane Boudreau, candidate for Oakland County Sheriff, and Brenda Lawrence, candidate for Oakland County Executive will also be speaking.
