Ann Arbor News to close in July

Sad news. I detest reading newspapers online and now my two dailies are leaving me no option.

1. Might as well close down the nation's journalism schools.

The media conglomerates are doing just than. Houston Chronicle today laid off 12 % of their work force. Chicago Tribune reduced their foreign news department.. News just does not happen , it must be researched.. A city without a newspaper is not a city nor a country a country.. Expect politicians to run amuck with our lack of press and citizens to become ever more prone to gossip.
