DETROIT (AP) — Lamar Lemmons won his primary election for the 2nd District seat in the state House, and Lamar Lemmons won his primary election for the 3rd District seat in the state House.
But Lamar Lemmons lost his primary election for the 1st District seat in the state House.
A Democratic candidate named Lamar Lemmons appeared Tuesday on the primary ballots for each of the three House districts, which are in southeastern Michigan. Each man is from a different generation in the same family.
Former Rep. Lamar Lemmons III won the 3rd District Democratic primary. With 100 percent of precincts reporting, he had 43 percent of the vote. His closest opponent, Chaunci Wyche, received 19 percent.
