Kline and Kennedy attack Wellstone, go against veterans

John Kline's logic for opposing a plan to rename a VA medical center after Wellstone: "It seems to me that Sen. Wellstone was a senator who couldn't find his way to supporting defense budgets, and had some reputation as an anti-war protester."

Kennedy also opposes the bill. But Coleman and Ramstad support the bill. So do AMVets, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. Oops.

1. Not surprising.

His simple mind can only comprehend one concept at a time. Apparently, the current resident of his narrow mind is war, so anything that contradicts his simplistic view is bad.

And any vet with half a brain knows it. Kline can rot in hell.

3. They want Wellstone's memory dead and buried

The name of Wellstone on the VA medical center would be a constant indictment of Bush and his cronies in congress. Rubberstamps like Kline and Kennedy have enabled the VA medical system to be woefully underfunded and understaffed. The "increases" they trumpet and hide behind can't even begin to address the stresses of flu season---let alone the new vets from Iraq.

The republicans have pissed on the feet of veterans with their insulting treatment of the VA medical system. It is long since time to make it an entitlement. If anyone deserves an entitlement--the veterans do. Kline, Kennedy and their friends DeLay and Hastert and all the others have blood on their hands--I hope they burn in hell..preferably sooner in the hell of election defeats.

Wellstone knew what the republicans were doing--and he gave a damn! These republicans are hypocrites of the highest order.

When they die, I'll spit on their graves just as they're doing to Wellstone, who is far more of a man than those two creeps combined. (and at times I wasn't fond of Wellstone either)

I remember many news stories through the years about Paul Wellstone helping vets get what was owed to them.
