Rep. Hornstein donates salary to nonprofits hit by shutdown and cuts....
Most legislators continue to collect their salaries while the state is shutdown, but Rep. Frank Hornstein (DFL-Minneapolis) is putting his July salary to good use. Hornstein, who recently toured four nonprofits in and around his district of Southwest Minneapolis, split his July salary, about $2,000, between the organizations.

:-)

An all-around good guy, sits around in coffee shops and talks to real people.

Trivia note: His wife is the rabbi who spoke at Paul Wellstone's memorial service.

5. no door knocking -no public meetings?
I moved to 60B about 5 years ago and I have never seen the guy. I lived in Karen Clark's district,61 A, for 13 years and I saw her every year plus public meetings.
I can't think the guy is very interested in what people think if he isn't out and about.

4. He's mine too.
He's a good one.

I didn't know that his wife spoke at Paul's service, but I knew she is a rabbi.
