Any of those robocalls here?
Hi. I haven't seen any instances of those Robocalls here in Missouri - have any of you? I want to be aware of any before I go out canvassing tomorrow so I can tell people it wasn't us.

Anyway, if anyone hears of any, please let us know. I know we've gotten automated calls, but I don't pick up my phone to unknown calls ever, so I wouldn't know if any like people are describing are going on. Of course we have a no-call list here, don't know if that makes any difference though since I think political ads are excluded.

2. a report at KC Buzz Blog
I've received between 100-150 of these "Robo-calls" at my home in Kansas City MO.

At first I thought they were from Claire McCaskill or other Democrats. None of them left messages on the answer machine. But after 75 or so phone calls, I decided that something fishy was going on and started listening to the messages.

Almost all of the calls intended to smear McCaskill. One of them (from Common Sense Missouri.com) pretended to be a political poll, then when I entered the first response, it just launched into a support ad for Jim Talent. Others were telling me that my polling place had changed (when in fact, it has not).

Almost all of my liberal friends in the the KC MO area have received similar calls. I also understand these are illegal according to FCC standards.

Don't erase the calls! Instructions on how to save to your PC for proof given at the link above.

3. I got the "survey" call from so-called "Common Sense"
It was a computer call -- wanted to know if I was "pro-life". Well, I emphatically support a woman's right to abortion, and I'm all for life, so said "yes" (I've never liked the anti-abortion nazis' use of that phrase, as if people who support a woman's right to choose were somehow "anti-life.")

Then was asked if I supported Amendment #2, which "allowed cloning and human trafficking.":wtf:
I told the machine politely, "That's not what it says." So I was informed they'd record my answer as neither yes or no.

5. "allowed cloning and human trafficking?!?"
:wtf::wtf:

I'll confess that I didn't do my research on Amendment 2 before going to vote, so when I got to my polling place, I asked to see the full (not Fair Ballot, the entire amendment) text.

1. It specifically forbids cloning
2. It specifically forbids trafficking (i.e. remittance of consideration) in stem cells/embryos.

Wow...that wasn't spin, that was a bald faced lie. I know because I read the entirety of the proposed amendment.

(The election workers in Adair County at first pointed to the Fair Ballot Language posting on the wall but when I told them I wanted to read the full text of what I was voting on they did get the hint without giving me any sort of problem.)

That said, after reading the thing, what was I to do? Vote yes on the amendment of course ;)

And you better believe that I'm DAMN PROUD that the minimum wage proposition passed with 75%...even the freepers voted for that one. :bounce::bounce::bounce:

4. Robo Calls all over Kansas City!!
Also many late night calls to voters tell them theri precincts have been changed.

And, where the precincts were change, there was NO NOTOFICATION! Signs are only now being put upby McCaskill people.

Worst of all--- ATTENTION:---- In the entire County of St. Charles, where the Election Director is Rich Chrismer (as in the father of talent's Campaign Manager, Rich Chrismer), the head of the County Democratic Committee was told, in August, to name all poll judges, challengers and watchers! Otherwise, he (Chrismer) did not have to consider any of them!!!

The St. Louis County legal team (headed by, I hear, Shonna Clemmings) knew about this at least two weeks before the cutoff date to submit these names (cutoff was 5:00 PM on Tuesday, 10/31) and managed to get seven people qualified in two weeks!

NOW, in St. Charles County, there are 240,000 ballots to be cast and there will not be one single pair of Democratic eyes to watch the process!

BTW, the Missouri SoS Election Protection Hot Line is 800-669-8683. In case, (hint, hint) you just MIGHT want to call!
