Essex DRE's and the Effort to turn the tide-wash the DRE's out to sea

I might be able to get Rebeca Mercuri to speak at an event--educational forum--she is "THE WOMAN" when it comes to experts in Electronic voting. She is the mother of the VVPT concept.

Think Maplewood Library baker St MP. 3rd week in April. I can pull this off there will be more later.

Also--the Contract that Carmine (Essex County SOE) has signed---is there is a way to make it Null & Void? I have some case law--havent read it yet. ALso there a pending Lawsuit in NJ-that claims the use of DRE:s is illegal in NJ.
SOOOO maybe an Injunction would serve to delay or halt the purchase of these DRE's pending the outcome of the suit.
I am in contact with a Lawyer @ RU Law school to learn more--------about the law suit and the possibility of an injunction.


We can stop DRE's dead in their tracks in Essex County, we do this--and it sets the standard for the rest of the state.
My theory is that the Neo Cons prefer DRE's over Opscans---the numbers of equipment in different States show this.85% of Americans had their votes counted by a PC in 2004 40% voted on a DRE in 2004, the remaining 45% were--opscans and punchcards tabulated by a PC.
Are they scared of the Paper ballot that backs up the Opscan system? And even a DRE w/VVPT seems preferable to them----. Since it seems that a VVPT bill in Trenton is a slam dunk, It might make sense to put efforts into the individual counties to stop the purchase at the root. Why give your opponent their first choice of weapon in this duel? WE should deny them their 1st choice--which seems to be the DRE w/VVPT. TO me this is tactically very sound.

The result would be --fewer DRE's-though still backed up by a VVPT . ANd more Opscans --backed up by a PAPER BALLOT. That is the sense I got over the last 2 weeks from "Other groups" that I've been chatting with.
